Along the river Perro-fie
sat a woman in green
counting the dreadful mistakes she made
she was sought never to be seen.
The river water tantalized her
of how tainted she was
the hard rock pricked her feet
for the path they made her walk.
The wind was so unforgiving
it refused to lash her face,
The cloud mortified of her deeds,
struck it’s thunder ablaze.
Unable to attend her own sins
that made her life so wry,
along the river Perro-fie
she shut her eyes and cried.
Along the river Perro-fie
sat a woman in green,
the woman who was condemned by all
is none other than me
Meaningless thoughts that once stood stagnant, overflow as poignant words. Words which are a passion, a sense of emotion of a city girl who battles for her piece of cake amongst the unnoticed. These words are not just vague thoughts penned down. They are thoughts beyond words. Here is an enchanting reflection of my world through a fragment of my shattered window-pane...

26/11- The day the world stood still...
A lively day in the festive city
impulsive breeze sweeping every lane
the roads flooded with unruly traffic
honkers going mad post 9-7 schedule
deadlines and recession adding up to the anxiety
what more needed to make this bizzare eve
Idyllically perfect.
Just as when this perpetual carnival
abruptly stopped
pausing the impulsiveness with shots and thuds.
Silence never seemed so silent before
as terror barged into every door
and fear crept through shattered window panes.
People slaughtered mercilessly
irrespective of cast and creed.
Uniquely one we stand now though
To begin the battle
to grand the old lad
her road to redemption...

The prophecy...
Turbulent clouds in crystal balls
luring one into the imminent
unveiling the new horizon before dawn.
Glass prism, chimeras,
spectrum of colours of a unique aura
dimensionless charms, working on destiny
flickering candles insinuating danger.
Despite the magical efforts
none can stop the looming event
for only the journey is written
not the destination...

Please turn back...
My heart aches for one last look
please turn back. I stay back for you.
I know you'd return
you will have to, some day
but until then give me something to hold on to.
Please turn back. I stay back for you.
I'm hiding those tears rolling in my eyes
please wipe them before they dry
I didn't listen to those last few words.
I was busy trying to find a little of me in you
perhaps I did
or perhaps it was just an illusion.
Please turn back. I stay back for you.
I wish to steal a moment from today
and carry it with me for tomorrow.
Please grant me my wish
Give me that glimpse
Please turn back. I stay back for you...
please turn back. I stay back for you.
I know you'd return
you will have to, some day
but until then give me something to hold on to.
Please turn back. I stay back for you.
I'm hiding those tears rolling in my eyes

The pheonix...
The fearless one who sought to fly
Whose freedom can never be quantized
Who can never be held back by any force
Who was born to live by his own
Whose wings when spread wide and open
Can defeat the infinity of sky
Whose eyes reflect beauty of life
Who was born from his own ashes
Never does he seek the path of defeat
The one who lives unknown to the world
The ultimate creation of god
Never try to chain him, he was born to fly...
Whose freedom can never be quantized
Who can never be held back by any force
Who was born to live by his own
Whose wings when spread wide and open
Can defeat the infinity of sky
Whose eyes reflect beauty of life
Who was born from his own ashes

The ultimate creation of god

As winter walks my way…
Frost drops crystal clear
Wait for someone to drop them
With the ice, sharp as stiletto
Unintentionally wanting to melt
The solitude of trees
Wait for someone to drop them
With the ice, sharp as stiletto
Unintentionally wanting to melt
The solitude of trees
Rebuffing solace
Adding to bitter chillness
Adding to bitter chillness
climbing up the spine
As winter walks my way…
Arrived a silvery filling
Freezing time with its trifiling strength
Signifying its presence more than the sun
Averring its momentary aura
Very much immortal

Signifying its presence more than the sun

The Unforgiven...
Nothing in this world is completely wrong.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day…
These words keep ringing into his head when he crosses his last few breath. Having justified the gaffe of everyone he wonders why he must not be pardoned. For he is a mere sinning creature. But now all of this makes no difference to him, for his son identified him as a sinner. His life means nothing more. Though he tries to say this to calm his mind his soul craves for something more, exhibiting such an obvious human behavior. He craves for the green paddy fields. For the waterfalls so close, that he can feel the softness of each drop. For the love of his people which seems nothing more than history. His soul, unsatisfied, is unable to forgive him. Caught in a nasty battle between his mind and soul he decides to climb the dais and give up on all that he wants. Tears wish to trickle down but alas, none are left. He tries to understand the incomplete story of his life. But the clock ticks his life away. With no more time to ponder, a scenario he never even dreamt of he closes his eyes and says the last few words…
Nothing in this world is completely wrong.
Even a stopped clock is right twice a day…
