The last phone call...

Behind the luminance of the moon
Hidden in the dark forest
Along with the nocturnes
She awaits…
For years she sent her kisses
Through the wind that blew by
She wished to ask if they reached him
She wished to ask if he returned any.
Her ears longing to hear him
Made her leap over the phone
as the phone rang.
The three "trings" never sounded so enchanting.
Embraced by a state of bliss,
so pure, so pleasant.
Poor femme didn’t comprehend
the unscrupulousness of fate.
It indeed was the last call
For he left her far behind
than she could ever trace.
A woman in love;
A woman in despair
dismayed by the awful turns in life.
A rage of anger, swamped up with melancholy.
She kept the phone down
For it was not just the line that was dead…

My fair lady...

This is for the woman whose eternal love can never diminish. We don’t know where we’d stand without you. Love you grandma. Miss you too…

A woman of love
a woman of life,
lifelessly lay before me.
A woman of compassion, zeal and sacrifice
Who relinquished herself for all.
Your warm and comforting hands
ice cold to touch.
Your shimmering eyes
to see no more.
But one thing in you remains unchanged
Your ceaselessly smiling face.
I wish to hold on to you
for your sweet kisses.
I wish to hold on to you
for your handmade sweets
for none but me.
I wish to hold on to you
for those Rs.100 notes,
you’d give us on birthdays
for those olden tales of the forbidden princess
for your words of love, priceless…
please come back
give us one last chance
forgive us for our mistakes
we promise to be good
we promise to wake up early n go to bed on time
we promise to study well
we promise not to trouble mom. Promise...
Please come back, we plead.
We all need you,
Stranded we are without you,
please come back.
But for one reason
I wont restrain you
Your forlorn struggle has ceased
Which hitched you, all this while.
But my mind, so human
defies me
I wish to hold on to you
just for once…

Along the river Perro-fie...

Along the river Perro-fie
sat a woman in green
counting the dreadful mistakes she made
she was sought never to be seen.
The river water tantalized her
of how tainted she was
the hard rock pricked her feet
for the path they made her walk.
The wind was so unforgiving
it refused to lash her face,
The cloud mortified of her deeds,
struck it’s thunder ablaze.
Unable to attend her own sins
that made her life so wry,
along the river Perro-fie
she shut her eyes and cried.
Along the river Perro-fie
sat a woman in green,
the woman who was condemned by all
is none other than me

26/11- The day the world stood still...

A lively day in the festive city
impulsive breeze sweeping every lane
the roads flooded with unruly traffic
honkers going mad post 9-7 schedule
deadlines and recession adding up to the anxiety
what more needed to make this bizzare eve
Idyllically perfect.
Just as when this perpetual carnival
abruptly stopped
pausing the impulsiveness with shots and thuds.
Silence never seemed so silent before
as terror barged into every door
and fear crept through shattered window panes.
People slaughtered mercilessly
irrespective of cast and creed.
Uniquely one we stand now though
To begin the battle
to grand the old lad
her road to redemption...

The prophecy...

Turbulent clouds in crystal balls
luring one into the imminent
unveiling the new horizon before dawn.
Glass prism, chimeras,
spectrum of colours of a unique aura
dimensionless charms, working on destiny
flickering candles insinuating danger.
Despite the magical efforts
none can stop the looming event
for only the journey is written
not the destination...

Please turn back...

My heart aches for one last look
please turn back. I stay back for you.
I know you'd return
you will have to, some day
but until then give me something to hold on to.
Please turn back. I stay back for you.
I'm hiding those tears rolling in my eyes
please wipe them before they dry
I didn't listen to those last few words.
I was busy trying to find a little of me in you
perhaps I did
or perhaps it was just an illusion.
Please turn back. I stay back for you.
I wish to steal a moment from today
and carry it with me for tomorrow.
Please grant me my wish
Give me that glimpse
Please turn back. I stay back for you...

The pheonix...

The fearless one who sought to fly
Whose freedom can never be quantized
Who can never be held back by any force
Who was born to live by his own
Whose wings when spread wide and open
Can defeat the infinity of sky
Whose eyes reflect beauty of life
Who was born from his own ashes
Never does he seek the path of defeat
The one who lives unknown to the world
The ultimate creation of god
Never try to chain him, he was born to fly...
