This is for the woman whose eternal love can never diminish. We don’t know where we’d stand without you. Love you grandma. Miss you too…
A woman of love
a woman of life,
lifelessly lay before me.
A woman of compassion, zeal and sacrifice
Who relinquished herself for all.
Your warm and comforting hands
ice cold to touch.
Your shimmering eyes
to see no more.
But one thing in you remains unchanged
Your ceaselessly smiling face.
I wish to hold on to you
for your sweet kisses.
I wish to hold on to you
for your handmade sweets
for none but me.
I wish to hold on to you
for those Rs.100 notes,
you’d give us on birthdays
for those olden tales of the forbidden princess
for your words of love, priceless…
please come back
give us one last chance
forgive us for our mistakes
we promise to be good
we promise to wake up early n go to bed on time
we promise to study well
we promise not to trouble mom. Promise...
Please come back, we plead.
We all need you,
Stranded we are without you,
please come back.
But for one reason
I wont restrain you
Your forlorn struggle has ceased
Which hitched you, all this while.
But my mind, so human
defies me
I wish to hold on to you
just for once…

Yes indeed she was our Fair Lady...
I have been meaning to write about it for quite sometime but never found the time.

I miss her too...
